S.T.L. student Fr. Michael Villavicencio will present a lectio coram and defend his thesis “‘As the Father has Loved Me’ John Paul II on the Radiation of Fatherhood” on Thursday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m. in McGivney Hall, Room 214. His evaluation board includes Dr. Nicholas Healy (director), Dr. Joseph Atkinson, and Dr. Jonathan Bieler.

The lectio coram is a magisterial lecture on a specific theological issue taken up during the course of studies for the licentiate before a panel of three examiners, comprised of the thesis director and the two readers of the thesis. The lectio coram should demonstrate the candidate’s competence in theology and as a teacher.
