S.T.L. student Fr. Jan Pietryga will present a lectio coram and defend his thesis “Conscience As Heart – The Bearer of the Memory of the Gift: A Relational Notion of Conscience in the Thought of Karol Wojtyła/St. John Paul II” on Thursday, April 25, at 1:30 p.m. in McGivney Hall, Room 214. His evaluation board includes Dr. David Crawford (director), Dr. David C. Schindler, Dr. Lesley Rice.

The lectio coram is a magisterial lecture on a specific theological issue taken up during the course of studies for the licentiate before a panel of three examiners, comprised of the thesis director and the two readers of the thesis. The lectio coram should demonstrate the candidate’s competence in theology and as a teacher.
