Continuing Education Course: Called to Love

January 22, 2020

January 22, 2020

The Spring 2020 course in the Institute’s ongoing Continuing Education Series will be “Called to Love.”

This course studies John Paul II’s Man and Woman He Created Them: A Theology of the Body — his “Wednesday catecheses”— through a reading of the text and a discussion of his scriptural, theological, and philosophical methodology. It shows how the dual unity of man and woman and their interpersonal communion, even in the body, image divine trinitarian life. Special emphasis will be made on the foundations of the Theology of the Body in the Christian tradition. The course will draw also on other works by John Paul II that deal with marriage and the family, such as The Jeweler’s ShopLove and Responsibility, and Roman Triptych.

Class will be held on Catholic University of America’s campus in McGivney Hall on the ground floor in Room 006. For more information, call 202.526.3799 or email [email protected]. The class fee is $150.

This course can be taken toward renewal requirements for VCEA licensure. Numerous high schools in the Archdiocese of Washington accept the course for CEU credits.

The registration form is available on the right.
