Youth Evangelist, All Saints Parish (Haverhill, MA)

Come be an active part and driving force in our thriving, multi-cultural Faith Formation & Youth Ministry programs at All Saints Parish. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Faith Formation:

  • Develop, organize, and implement Faith Formation for Grades K-8
  • Supervise catechists for Ascension Press’s First Reconciliation and First Communion classes
  • Run OCIA programs for children and teens
  • Develop and implement Kindergarten program
  • Run EDGE Middle School program, including Confirmation prep for grades 7-8
  • Orchestrate Faith Formation registration for all participants 
  • Work alongside All Saints High School Youth Minister to recruit, train, and support teen CORE team
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer catechists and assist them in their own spiritual growth
  • Oversee and ensure complete record keeping of family and student information for all grades using ParishSoft and Flocknote 
  • Communicate with families through Flocknote as necessary, including important program and event reminders and updates
  • Submit bulletin announcements, website content, and Mass announcements for Faith Formation program routinely and as necessary
  • Handle the administration of child safety procedures in accordance with state and archdiocesan requirements, including CORI forms and Protecting God’s Children/Virtus training for adults and safe environment lessons for children and families
  • Maintain a clear and consistent channel of communication with the Pastor, Parochial Vicar, and High School Youth Minister
  • Other duties as assigned by the Pastor

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Fluent in English and Spanish preferred

  • Must be willing to support the mission and vision of the Roman Catholic Church and a Catholic in good standing, practicing and faithful to the Sacraments.
  • A strong service orientation is critical
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, Parish Soft, and Flocknote
  • Must be well-organized, able to multitask and effectively work in a changing environment
  • Experience handling confidential, sensitive, timely and critical matters using good judgment, tact, respect and discretion required
  • A high level of proficiency communicating effectively through email and/or telephone
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented and capable of working independently
