Ph.D. candidate Geena Mary Sankoorikal will defend her dissertation “Man’s Openness to His Other: A Study of Human ‘Spirit’ as a Unifying Bridge between the Philosophical and Theological Anthropology of Karol Wojtyla/St. John Paul II’“ on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in McGivney 214.

Her dissertation board includes Dr. David C. Schindler (director), Fr. Antonio Lopez, and Dr. David Crawford from the Institute faculty. The external grader is Dr. Grzegorz Ignatik, an associate professor of theology at the Pontifical College Josephinum.
