Ph.D. candidate Andrew Shivone will defend his dissertation “Self Becoming as Self-Reception: Ferdinand Ulrich’s Philosophical Anthropology of Childhood” on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in McGivney Hall Room 214.

His dissertation board includes Dr. D.C. Schindler (director), Dr. Jonathan Bieler, and Rev. Antonio López from the Institute faculty. The external grader is Dr. Martin Bieler, a scholar and the editor of Ferdinand Ulrich’s collected works.
