Join us this summer for a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in John Paul II’s Theology of the Body! This short, one-week intensive course in our Continuing Education series studies his “Wednesday catechesis”— through an in-depth examination of the text and a discussion of his scriptural, theological, and philosophical methodology. It shows how the dual unity of man and woman and their interpersonal communion, even in the body, image divine trinitarian life.

Please purchase a copy of the required books before the course begins: Man and Woman He Created Them: A Theology of the Body by John Paul II (Boston: Pauline Press, 2006. ISBN: 0819874213), and Called to Love: Approaching John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. New York: Doubleday, 2012. ISBN: 0770435742, by Carl Anderson and Rev. Jose Granados. Reading assignments will be distributed in advance to allow students to prepare for the course.

Due to precautions in response to COVID-19, the class will be held online rather than in person.

The course meets Monday through Friday, July 13-17, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and 1:30-3:00 p.m.
