My name is Lindsay Myers and I am seeking a live-in tenant who can help me with my home and children 10-12 hours a week in exchange for room and board. I live in Hyattsville, Maryland and have four children ages 5, 3, 1, and a newborn due in September. Ideally, I would love to host a capable, practicing Catholic adult woman who can help me out with basic household tasks (folding laundry, preparing meals, very light tidying) and childcare during a set schedule that can be determined by the needs/availability of the both of us. I'm looking for someone for at least the fall semester, but am open to the entire academic year. I can offer a large private room with a large closet, a shared bathroom, and a semi-private office space (occasionally used by my husband who is a law student).
I live in the Hyattsville Catholic Community affiliated with St. Jerome's parish and can offer lots of practical experience for one of your students in living out the vocation of marriage and family life!!
I can be contacted at email@example.com

1 Bedroom for rent in a Hyattsville house. $500/month plus utilities.
Available to female student or young professional.
The room is available starting in August and will be a month-to-month lease
We rent out 2 upstairs bedrooms in a house shared with my mother, a retired widow with a cat and dog. She resides in the downstairs rooms. One upstairs room is already rented to a young professional Catholic woman with whom you would share the upstairs bathroom and sitting room. The downstairs kitchen is shared by all three residents. Washer and dryer can be accessed in the basement. Street parking is available (you will need to obtain a permit from City Hall), and the nearest metro stop (PG Plaza on the Green Line) is 0.9 miles away. The house is slightly more than four miles from McGivney Hall.

Greetings everyone, new poster here. I'm looking for a male roommate to rent a basement apartment with me.
The place is just a block from miles of biking and running trails, river and forested park (really nice when you are in the city). The metro and buses are in very easy reach and the neighborhood is walkable with shops, restaurants and even a mead brewery. There are many local parishes close by, and the location is within the Hyattsville Catholic community, which is always very active. Your half would be $790 a month which includes utilities, laundry and internet. The landlords are a CUA professor and his family.
I myself am a CUA student who also works as an axe-throwing coach. I am fairly tidy, easy-going, and have a wide range of interests, and I am always up for a chat and meeting new people.
If you have any questions, simply email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

2 bedroom basement apartment available in August. There is a living room, nook, small kitchen and bathroom. All utilities are included (electric, water, shared laundry and wifi) and we are happy to share our outdoor space, especially if you don't mind nerf guns. The apartment shares an exterior door but is enclosed from the rest of the house.
We are a short walk to the metro station and there are busses that come by regularly. We are within a 15 minute bike ride to the Institute. Our home is one block from a river with miles and miles of cycling and running trails and forested parkland. The neighborhood is quiet.
We are a family of Canadian imports with 7 kids, 6 of whom are still at home. My husband is a CUA Theology professor. We are a pretty jolly and welcoming bunch, respectful of privacy and keep very reasonable hours.
All of this joy can be yours for $1500 per month or $750 each for two people. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.

1 bedroom available for rent available immediately in a large, 5-bedroom, split-level house. I am hoping to find a female graduate student who loves kids and would be interested in exchanging sub-market rent for ten hours a week of childcare and light housework (mainly cooking dinner). If that sounds like it might be you, then please read on!
About the room: Located in a quiet residential neighborhood within the Hyattsville Arts District, less than a block away from St. Jerome Church, and 2 blocks away from Yes!Organic Market, Busboys & Poets, Franklin's Restaurant, and a number of other restaurants and shops. The bedroom for rent (available furnished or unfurnished) measures 10'x10', is located in the basement. There are shared living spaces including a kitchen, living room and bathroom which would be shared with one other young lady (recent grad), who is also living in the basement. There is a private entrance to the basement, which leads into a hallway with a kitchenette and a living room with a Smart TV, couches, coffee table and chairs. The basement living room is located in a common space in the main area of the basement which has a toy room on the opposite side, which is utilized by the family living in the home upstairs (more details about them below). House includes amenities (*which are shared with the family) such as: washer/dryer; beautiful backyard with outdoor seating around a fire pit, and a dining area under a pergola. Cost is $300/month, plus $50 per person/month for all utilities including cable/internet.
About the family: Catholic single mom and three young ladies: aged 13, 11, and 8. The girls are all old enough that they are fairly independent, but like all children, still need a warm & loving adult engaging with them when they are not in school. Mom works at a non-profit in fundraising, thus the desire to find help with the kids after school (looking for someone who can help between 3pm-5pm or 3:30pm-5:30pm on weekdays) and for a few hours in the morning during the summertime. All three girls are very polite and just generally sweet, good-natured girls (although, of course, they aren’t perfect and do squabble with one another as sisters do!). They also all play piano and at least one other instrument, and in non-covid times are involved in choir and very active with soccer and other extracurriculars.

I currently have two rooms available immediately (either long term or for the summer) in my all women's house. The rooms are fully furnished with bed, dresser, desk, bookshelf, closet, and connect to a bathroom. The house is conveniently located on Rhode Island Ave, across the street from St. James Catholic Church in Brentwood, MD, within walking distance of a supermarket, library, and post office (zip code 20722). The house is approximately 2 miles from both CUA, JPII Institute, and UMD. St. Franics de Sales and St. Anthony of Padua parishes are also about 1.5 miles away. The house connects easily to public transportation (red and green lines).
Pictures are available here.
Rent of $650 includes all utilities, internet, washer-dryer.

I’m looking for a roommate for a two bedroom apartment in Arlington, Virginia. I love this place because it is a garden-style apartment, with big, beautiful trees out the window. It has wood floors throughout and classic Arlington charm.
The apartment is just over half a mile to the Courthouse and Clarendon metro stations and just up the street from Giant, CVS, The Italian Store, and Starbucks. It also backs up to the Custis Trail (which goes from Falls Church into DC). I walk to St. Charles Borromeo Parish several times a week, and it is also close to St. Agnes. Free parking is available. The place is also located near to a bus line that goes right into Rosslyn, and it is a five minute drive from the city.
The room would be unfurnished, and there is room to add furniture to the living areas as well. There is plenty of storage available in the main areas, and a small closet in the room itself.
The lease could be month-to-month, or for a year. (I plan to be in this place for at least another year). The rent for the whole apartment is $1725 per month, so $862.50 per person, and our internet bill has been around $85 per month ($42.50 per person). Also - a great benefit is that all utilities are included in the rent. It will be available the weekend of May 8/9.
Dogs & cats welcome!
If you would like more information, please call or text me: (202) 423-6642.

Partly above ground basement suite available immediately in our house near Ft. Totten - $910 plus utilities (~$80-120).
You'd have a spacious living area (~12x16), large walk-in closet (7x8), en suite bathroom, and share the kitchen and living/dining spaces on the main floor. Because of the size, it's easy to set up a small office space if you're working/studying from home.
We have additional storage in the unfinished basement, street parking, washer/dryer, large enclosed yard/garden, and back patio good for cookouts.
Your housemates would be two women and one man in their 30s. We tend to be fairly quiet, but have always welcomed family, friends, and guests during normal, non-COVIDtide.
We’re located in a quiet neighborhood along the Fort Circle parks, near the ADW Pastoral Center. CUA, JP II Institute, DHS, and Childrens National/MedStar are all a short drive or bus ride away. Ft. Totten metro is a 15 minute walk and the F6, E2/4 and 80 bus lines stop within blocks. Large quiet field across the street is perfect for frisbee, working out, star and deer gazing, and there are multiple parks and trails nearby.
