Understanding the Marian Dimension: Women in Society and the Church
Published on May 04, 2015 in Institute News
Following Pope Francis's call for a deeper theology of woman, the annual Symposium on Women in the Church gathered the presentations from its 2014 meeting into a new book, Promise and Challenge: Catholic Women Reflect on Feminism, Complementarity, and the Church.
Appearing in this volume is an essay by Margaret Harper McCarthy, assistant professor of theological anthropology at the John Paul II Institute, entitled "The Feminine Genius and Women's Contributions in Society and in the Church." A condensed version of her text was recently published in L'Osservatore Romano.
