“William Desmond and Nietzsche” and the Metaphysics of Ulrich

Dr. D.C. Schindler, Professor of Metaphysics and Anthropology, will present at the American Catholic Philosophical Association 95th Annual Meeting.  The gathering’s theme is “The Diakonia of Truth.”  It will be held at The Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta in St. Louis, MO.

Dr. D.C. Schindler will lecture alongside a series of speakers on the topic, “William Desmond and Catherine Pickstock on Truth” on Friday morning.  His talk is entitled, “William Desmond and Nietzsche.”

On Friday afternoon, he will also participate as chairman and organizer for the satellite session topic, “Aquinas and Postmodernity: Christian Metaphysics in the Thought of Ferdinand Ulrich.”

Additionally, two recent John Paul II Institute graduates will be speaking at the meeting:

  • Rachel M. Coleman (M.T.S. ‘10, Ph.D. ‘19): “Desmond and the Revealed” and “Ulrich and Creation”
  • Erik van Versendaal (Ph.D. ‘19): “The Father’s Word: Ferdinand Ulrich on Dialogue as a Wondrous Exchange”
