Ph.D. candidate Daniel Meola will defend his dissertation The Drama of Sexual Difference: A Catholic Critique of Judith Butler’s Theory of Gender as ‘Performativity’ on Thursday, January 24, at 2:30 p.m. in Room 214. His dissertation board includes David S. Crawford (director), David L. Schindler, and Margaret McCarthy, from the Institute faculty, and Susan Selner-Wright, the Archbishop Charles J. Chaput Chair of Philosophy at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver.
