This course considers the question of gender/the sexual difference in terms of its theological and anthropological foundations, and in light of issues raised regarding this question in the current cultural situation. Readings are drawn from Aristotle, Aquinas, St. John Paul II, various Church documents, and a variety of contemporary authors (e.g., biologists, social scientists, theologians, gender theorists, and cultural critics).
