Gender/The Sexual Difference

This course considers the question of gender/the sexual difference in terms of its theological and ontological foundations, and in light of issues raised regarding this question in the current cultural situation. Readings are drawn from Aristotle, John Paul II, Hans Urs von Balthasar, and a variety of contemporary authors (e.g., biologists, social scientists, theologians, cultural critics).
