Medical Insurance
Medical insurance is required of all full-time domestic students and all full and part-time international students. Student health insurance is available through the Catholic University of America to students enrolled at the John Paul II Institute. Opportunities for enrollment are in January, May, and August. There is no option for a pro-rated fee in the case of late enrollment. The policy is portable for domestic students who withdraw from the Insitute during the course of the year. For international students, the coverage ends when the student returns to his/her native country. This health insurance policy does not include services at the Catholic University of America Student Health Service Office.
Whether by enrolling in the United Healthcare plan--provided via CUA--or another plan of personal choosing, all full-time domestic and international students and all part-time international students should submit proof of insurance no later than October 1 to the Office Manager, Rm 312, 202-526-9697.
