Fr. López's research is centered around foundational themes in systematic and Trinitarian theology, with particular attention to the dialogue between modern and postmodern philosophers and theologians and the tradition of the Church. His work focuses on the category of gift for an elucidation of a nuptial sacramental theology, in particular for the sacramentality of marriage and for an understanding of God as absolute love which in Christ reveals himself as a communion of persons. His most recent publication, Spirit's Gift: The Metaphysical Insight of Claude Bruaire, is published by CUA Press.
