Position: The Director of Campus Ministry
Institution: Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, a college prep, Catholic girls' high school
Location: La Canada Flintridge, CA
Seeking: A dynamic Catholic woman of faith to lead its vibrant Campus Ministry program for the coming school year who will partner with the Religious Studies Department in coordinating spiritual enrichment opportunities and with the Service Coordinator to support the Service Program. This is a full time position with no teaching responsibilities.
The Campus Minister is responsible for scheduling, communicating, and managing all Campus Ministry events for the academic year. The Campus Minister will provide training to members of the Campus Ministry team, plan and coordinate all school Eucharistic liturgies and prayer services, plan and direct student and faculty retreats, support and attend Kairos retreats, and direct the Living in Faith Experience (LIFE) program, and other related activities. The Campus Minister is a member of the High School Administrative Team and is responsible for working with school support groups, such as the Parents' Guild and Booster Club, and attends Los Angeles Archdiocese Youth Ministry meetings.
This position requires current knowledge of Catholic teaching and liturgical practices, a degree in Catholic Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or equivalent, and 2-4 years' Campus Ministry experience at the high school or college level. We are looking for a dynamic leader with strong organization and communication skills, who has excellent judgment and an ability to manage multiple priorities. Skill in building positive relationships with students, faculty, administration, and parents is required.
