Issues in Science: Genetics & Embryology
This course will examine some ethical questions raised by the practice of medicine. Only an authentic understanding of the nature of medicine and its goal will allow the student to understand the meaning of the rights and duties of physicians and patients. The course will consider the care required by chronic and terminal patients and will give a judgment of new therapies that try to enhance the "quality" and length of life.
